Editing
Substantive editing and copy-editing of both long-form publications (research reports, policy recommendations, technical guides and manuals, and expert consultation and meeting reports) and short-form material (briefs, flyers, website copy, fact sheets).
Interpretation
In-person and online interpretation for meetings, panel discussions, speaking engagements, workshops, training events, interviews, and on-site activities such as field visits, study tours, community and stakeholder consultations, and focus group discussions.
Translation
Translation of research reports, assessments, impact reports, conference proceedings, briefs, concept notes, policy guidance, technical manuals and training materials, as well as internal documentation such as terms of reference, human resources policies, and internal communications.

Hi, I’m Dianne.
My customers are international development organizations preparing publications on key technical and social issues, experts sharing research findings or technical methodologies and solutions, NGOs sharing success stories and lessons learned across regions, and academics sharing their knowledge and analysis of issues that are essential to achieving positive change in the world today.
In each case, their aim is to share their message accurately and in a form and tone that lead to real impact.
For 20+ years, I’ve worked with my customers to share their message in the most accurate and effective way possible:
interpreting in meetings and training workshops, providing all the support needed to make sure everyone can understand and participate fully;
editing publications for specialist and general audiences, eliminating redundancies, identifying conceptual gaps, simplifying where possible - in sum: making the message clear;
and translating public-facing and internal materials between English and Spanish, taking into account the specific intended audience in handling word choice, cultural references and tone.
